Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen topped an eventful second practice at the Formula One Canadian Grand Prix on Friday.
While drivers struggled to find grip at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Raikkonen was able to put in a brilliant time of one minute, 12.935 seconds. He finished more than two tenths of a second ahead of Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton, while fellow Ferrari man Sebastian Vettel was a shade back in third spot.
In the first session it was Hamilton who topped the pile ahead of Vettel and his Mercedes team-mate Valtteri Bottas.
Below are the results in full from Friday and a closer look back an an interesting day’s driving from Canada.
As mentioned, Sky’s got the rights to this one, so you’ll need a subsrciption if you want to watch all the developments live.

The weekend’s events will be broadcast on Sky channel 408, where you’ll also benefit from Sky’s Race Control feature, giving you multiple driver cam viewpoints, the pitman channel, a driver tracker, and a up-to-date timing page via the Red Button.
For those looking to watch on mobile, there’s the Sky Go app, which is available on both iOS and Android. And of course, you can also access the service using a web browser.
How did the 2016 race pan out?
Lewis Hamilton was gift-wrapped the victory after a strategical gaffe by Ferrari robbed Sebastian Vettel of victory in Montreal.
Vettel controlled the opening phase of the race after leapfrogging both Hamilton and his Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg off the line, but Ferrari’s decision to pit the German twice enabled Hamilton to claim his fifth victory in Canada.
And with Rosberg, who spun on the penultimate lap attempting to pass Max Verstappen, crossing the line only fifth, Hamilton has slashed the gap in the championship from 24 to just nine points. Williams driver Valtteri Bottas finished third with a fine drive.
