The complete UFC 212 fight card will air later this evening (Sat., June 3, 2017) on two different stations — FOX Sports 1 and pay-per-view (PPV) — as well as online via “Fight Pass” digital network. UFC 212’s “Prelims” undercard will begin at 6:30 p.m. online via “Fight Pass” before transitioning to the FOX Sports 1 television station at 8 p.m. ET. Once the UFC 212 undercard is complete inside Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the action will pick up on PPV at 10 p.m. ET, starting with a Welterweight bout between local fan favorite, Erick Silva, taking on Yancy Medeiros. Then it’s a hard-hitting Middleweight scrap between mixed martial arts (MMA) up and comers Paulo Borrachinha and Oluwale Bamgbose. Third from the top of the PPV bill is a clash between Brazilian MMA legend, Vitor Belfort, making (most likely) his final appearance inside the Octagon against heavy-handed journeyman Nate Marquardt.

Leading UFC 212’s charge is Featherweight champion Jose Aldo, who will attempt to once again make his 145-pound title whole when he locks horns with interim titleholder Max Holloway. Indeed, the division has been a mess since Conor McGregor bulldozed Aldo back in Dec. 2015 and then refused to defend the strap, opting instead to make history and become UFC’s first-ever “double champ.” Meanwhile, in the co-main event, top-ranked women’s Strawweight contenders, Claudia Gadelha (No. 1) and Karolina Kowalkiewicz (No. 2), will go toe-to-toe in an effort to earn a rematch against 115-pound queenpin, Joanna Jedrzejczyk.

RIO DE JANEIRO – MMAjunkie is on scene and reporting live from today’s UFC 212 event, and you can join us for live play-by-play and official results beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET (3:30 p.m. PT).

The event takes place at Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, and the main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass. In the headliner, featherweight champion Jose Aldo (26-2 MMA, 8-1 UFC) and interim titleholder Max Holloway meet in a title-unification bout.

Follow along with our round-by-round updates and official results beginning at approximately 6:30 p.m. ET for the UFC Fight Pass prelims, 8 p.m. ET for the FS1 prelims, and 10 p.m. ET for the pay-per-view main card.

The featherweight champion will defend his title Saturday in the UFC 212 main event against Max Holloway. Aldo will have the home-field advantage at Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. But Holloway, who won the interim featherweight title at UFC 206, will enter Saturday’s big fight on a roll, as he hasn’t lost since Conor McGregor beat him in 2013. McGregor, of course, also handed Aldo his last loss at UFC 194 with a stunning quick knockout.
Watch Jose Aldo vs Max Holloway Live Stream

Tonight the UFC is coming to you live from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil with a headline act that promises to both excite and settle who is the rightful king of the 145ers.

The main event for UFC 212 is Jose Aldo versus Max Holloway for the UFC featherweight championship. The match-up pits Aldo, the most dominant featherweight in ZUFFA history, against a man whose 10 fight winning streak might be the most impressive run ever witnessed in the UFC. Will Aldo continue to prove his place among the all-time greats or will Holloway surpass him and show that he alone deserves to reign atop the division.

Though the main event is must-see-TV, the remainder of the pay-per-view card is hit and miss. The co-main is an intriguing match-up of former women’s strawweight challengers Claudia Gadelha and Karolina Kowalkiewicz. A win for either woman could set them up with a quick rematch against the ferocious Joanna Champion. Before that there’s middleweight action with Vitor Belfort taking on Nate Marquardt and Paulo Henrique Costa (aka Borrachinha) looking to impress versus Oluwale Bamgbose. The main card starts with Erick Silva versus Yancy Medeiros in the welterweight division.

The FS1 prelims kick-off at 8pm EST. The featured prelim is an intriguing fight between perennial bantamweight contender Raphael Assuncao and former WSOF champ Marlon Moraes (who is making his UFC debut). Elsewhere on the card, Antonio Carlos Junior fights Eric Spicely at 185lbs, Johnny Eduardo meets Matthew Lopez at 135lbs, and Iuri Alcantara faces Brian Kelleher also at 135lbs.

Watch Adonis Stevenson vs Andrzej Fonfara Live Stream

Adonis Stevenson and Andrzej Fonfara meet in a rematch for the WBC light heavyweight title on Saturday night having first slugged it out just over three years ago.

The clash in May 2014 was a cracker which Stevenson (28-1) won via unanimous decision, but Fonfara (29-4) impressed as he ended ‘Superman’s’ 10-fight knockout streak.

Stevenson has been the WBC champ since knocking out Chad Dawson in June 2013 but has been accused of ducking challenges since then, most notably Sergey Kovalev.

Fonfara, resident of Chicago but born in Poland, has picked up impressive wins over Nathan Cleverly, Julio Cesar Chaz Jr and Dawson since he lost to Stevenson, but a knockout loss to Joe Smith Jr last year set him back a little.

Despite making seven consecutive defenses of his WBC light heavyweight title since his first-round knockout of lineal champion Chad Dawson in 2013, Adonis Stevenson hasn’t necessarily been the darling of his many critics.

Stevenson, 39, has made the most of his late career surge from a financial standpoint and has never been shy in flaunting his lifestyle on social media. But the native of Haiti who fights out of Montreal has also largely benefited from convenient matchmaking, facing a steady stream of opponents ranging between solid and unacceptable.

While his return on Saturday certainly won’t bring us any closer to finding out whether he’s truly the best 175-pound fighter on the planet, Stevenson (28-1, 23 KOs), at the very least, will be running back his most difficult title defense to date.

Three years after Stevenson got up off the canvas to outpoint a determined Andrzej Fonfara (29-4, 17 KOs) at the Bell Centre in Montreal, the two fighters will return to the same site for Saturday’s rematch (Showtime, 9 p.m. ET).

If Stevenson is victorious, Saturday’s co-main event should produce his next opponent as WBC No. 1 contender Eleider Alvarez (22-0, 11 KOs) faces former champion Jean Pascal (31-4-1, 18 KOs).

“I’m ready because I know Fonfara is dangerous; we’re not underestimating him,” Stevenson said. “I’m training for the knockout.  Emanuel Steward always told me knockouts sell. When I get in the ring, I’m going for a knockout. It’s not an option for me to go 12 rounds.”

Fonfara, 29, a native of Poland who fights out of Chicago, overcame an early knockdown against Stevenson in their first fight and stayed consistent in his forward pursuit. In Round 9, he floored a fatigued Stevenson and bloodied his nose but was unable to complete the upset.

“I’m a much smarter fighter now. Mentally, I’m much strong and smarter,” Fonfara said. “I bettered myself.  [New trainer] Virgil [Hunter] has taught me a lot of new stuff.  Some things worked in my last fight with Chad Dawson [a 10th-round TKO in March], some things didn’t.  But that was our first fight together.  Now I’m ready to show everything in this fight.”

Despite the fact that his actions have yet to match his words, Stevenson maintains a showdown with the division’s best remains in his plans.

“My goal is to unify the titles with the winner of [Sergey] Kovalev and [Andre} Ward,” Stevenson said. “I want the unification, but if not I’ll make my mandatory. If Ward wins, I want to fight him; if Kovalev wins I want to fight him. I’m ready.”

Sweden’s Alexander Gustafsson will headline a UFC event in his home country for UFC Fight Night 109: Gustafsson vs. Teixeira. His opponent will be fellow light heavyweight contender Glover Teixeira as both try and make their way toward a shot at Daniel Cormier’s title.

Sunday’s event will begin bright and early in the United States, at 10 a.m. ET with the UFC Fight Pass prelims, which can be streamed online. The card isn’t on pay-per-view, with the remainder of the prelims and the main card airing on Fox Sports 1. The main card will start at approximately 1 p.m.

Online streaming should be available via UFC.TV, the UFC YouTube channel and of course, UFC Fight Pass.

Gustafsson has fought for the title twice, and in both fights he lost a decision but arguably did enough to win. That was against Jon Jones in 2013 and Cormier in 2015. The Cormier fight came after a TKO loss to Anthony Johnson, but Gustafsson stepped in as a replacement when Johnson couldn’t go.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returns to the hurt business today (Sun., May 28, 2017) after a one-week break to stage UFC Fight Night 109 live from inside Ericsson Globe in Stockholm, Sweden. The promotion’s latest mixed martial arts (MMA) FOX Sports 1-televised event, headlined by a Light Heavyweight fight between Alexander Gustafsson and Glover Teixeira, will also feature a another pivotal 205-pound showdown between Misha Cirkunov vs. Volkan Oezdemir.

What’s Hot:

With Jon Jones finally making his long-awaited return to action to face current 205-pound champion Daniel Cormeir at UFC 214 this summer, all seems right with the Light Heavyweight division. But, while Jon was out serving his one-year suspension and trying to get his life back on track, the rest of the division was still chugging along. And two men who were trying their best to stay at the top of the title race were Alexander Gustafsson and Glover Teixeira.

Coming off a win over Jan Blackhowicz in Sept. 2016, Alex will try to string together his first back-to-back victories for the first time since 2012. Yes, five years ago. That said, going 2-3 since then has not affected “The Mauler” much, as he is still the No. 1 ranked fighter in the division right behind the champion. Mind-boggling. That means an impressive win and showing against Glover could put the towering Swede right back into a title fight against the winner of “DC” and Bones.” Glover, meanwhile, is ranked at No. 2, which doesn’t put him that far off from shot at the strap with a win, either. After taking out Jared Cannonier in his previous outing, Teixiera managed to get back on track after previously suffered an eight-second knockout loss to Anthony Johnson. With “Rumble” now retired, both Glover and Gus don’t have to worry about his heavy hands coming at them, and it’s one less contender they have to try to jump over in the title race.

But, they have another rising contender chomping at their behinds, as Misha Cirkunov looks to earn his fifth straight win inside the Octagon when he takes on Volkan Oezdemir in the co-headlining bout. A win for Misha will shoot him up the rankings and cloud up the title picture a bit more, which also has Jimi Manuwa lurking around, as well.

What’s Not:

I get it, not all cards can be UFC 211, but it seems most overseas events always get the short end of the stick when it comes to star power. Yes, they’re getting their hometown hero to headline the event; apart from that, the rest of the card is really lacking. Just being honest.

Original Card vs. Actual Card:

This card, believe it nor not, changed quite a bit. After Magnus Cedenblad was removed from the card, Trevor Smith stepped in to face Chris Camozzi. Also, Emil Weber Meek was set to face Nordine Taleb but pulled out of the fight with an injury and replaced by Oliver Enkamp, who will be making his UFC debut.

Both Christian Colombo and Damian Grabowski suffered injuries and their heavyweight matchup was ultimately scrapped. Also, Mairbek Taisumov was set to face Joaquim Silva, but, he also pulled out of the fight with an injury and was replaced by Reza Madadi.

The pair have just one defeat between them – Brook was stopped by Gennady Golovkin in a middleweight bout last year in which he earned many plaudits – and are two of the welterweight divisions best rated fighters.

Brook had been in talks in January with Amir Khan abut an all-British showdown but the negotiations ended in acrimony and he subsequently accepted his mandatory challenger for the IBF welterweight crown.

Kell Brook and Errol Spence Jr. are set to clash for the IBF welterweight crown on Saturday night in England. After successfully making weight on Friday, two of the best fighters in the world will duke it out for one of the crown jewels of the 147-pound division.

Brook, who is coming off a TKO loss to middleweight champ Gennady Golovkin, will look to rebound as he moves back down in weightclass. Although he was thought to have issue with getting back down to 147 after fighting at 154, Brook looked fantastic at weigh ins, showing no issues and looking strong as ever. He will also be a sizable underdog to the younger Spence at +175.

Spence, meanwhile, is 21-0 and coming off seven consecutive knockout wins. He will enter enemy territory a large favorite at -225 after making the trip across the pond.

So far in 2017, boxing’s had a serious of big fights: Anthony Joshua vs. Wladimir Klitschko for the heavyweight championship, Canelo Alvarez vs. Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr., Keith Thurman vs. Danny Garcia and Gennady Golovkin vs. Danny Jacobs.

The run continues on Saturday afternoon live on Showtime starting at 4:15 p.m. ET in a battle of the No. 2 and No. 3 147-pound fighters in the world. Kell Brook is defending the IBF welterweight title against Errol Spence Jr. from soccer stadium Bramall Lane in Sheffield, England, in where 30,000 people are expected to be in attendance.

“Brook versus Spence is a fight that pits two of the best, if not the best fighters in the welterweight division,” executive vice president and general manager of Showtime Sports Stephen Espinoza told Sporting News. “We will look back and realize this welterweight division is one of the deepest in history and they are fighting each other.”

Tonight starting at 10:15 pm ET on HBO, BLH will have live coverage of two fights from Madison Square Garden, headlined by Terence Crawford defending his WBC and WBO junior welterweight titles against Felix Diaz.

Crawford (30-0, 21 KO) last fought in December, when he dominated John Molina Jr, so this is his first fight of 2017. Diaz (19-1, 9 KO) is a former Olympic gold medalist for the Dominican Republic (Beijing 2008), and as a pro was probably at his best in a narrow and debated defeat against Lamont Peterson back in 2015.

Crawford has emerged as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in boxing and someone you always want to see in action.

The co-feature will be a lightweight bout between veteran Ray Beltran (32-7-1, 20 KO) and Jonathan Maicelo (25-2, 12 KO). Some minor titles are on the line, and the fight is set for 12 rounds.

Watch Now

Terence Crawford is facing one of the biggest challenges of his career on Saturday night when he battles Felix Diaz on HBO (10:15 p.m. ET/PT), but if you don’t know much about Diaz, you’re not alone. Diaz (19-1, 9 KOs) is the 2008 Olympic gold medalist from the Dominican Republican, but in the biggest fight of his career, he lost a close decision to Lamont Peterson.

Considering Peterson is probably a level below Crawford (30-0, 21 KOs) when it comes to boxing ability, you might not think Diaz has a great chance to score an upset on the man who’s No. 11 on the Forbes Pound-For-Pound Moneymakers list. But Diaz could have the ability to surprise.

Crawford is defending his WBC and WBO world super lightweight titles against Diaz. It’s his second defense after beating the lanky Viktor Postol by unanimous decision in July 2016. The then-undefeated Postol represented the greatest threat to Crawford’s rise to the upper echelon of the sport, but he succumbed to the crafty Nebraska native’s talents.

Crawford then made rather easy work of John Molina Jr (8th-round TKO), setting up this fight against Diaz, who is moving down in weight to box at 140 pounds.

The 33-year-old Diaz is a heavy 10-1 underdog, per OddsShark.com, but he has some good qualities to him. He’s a southpaw with a sterling amateur career that saw him win an Olympic gold medal at junior welterweight. Though his knockout record isn’t great, he’s used to fighting in the mid-140s, so he may be better able to handle some of Crawford’s stinging blows.

This evening starting at 6 pm ET on Showtime, we’ll have live coverage of four fights from two sites, with two world titles on the line.

The show will kick off from the United Kingdom, where Gervonta Davis (17-0, 16 KO) defends the IBF super featherweight title against Liam Walsh (21-0, 14 KO) in London. Davis is making his first title defense, and will be on the road against his mandatory.

After that, it will be a tripleheader from Oxon Hill, Maryland, where Gary Russell Jr (27-1, 16 KO) defends the WBC featherweight title against Oscar Escandon (25-2, 17 KO) in the main event. Escandon is the underdog here, of course, and is coming off of a KO win against Robinson Castellanos. Russell last fought 13 months ago, when he smashed Patrick Hyland.

Also on the card: Rances Barthelemy (25-0, 13 KO) takes on Kiryl Relikh (21-1, 19 KO) in a WBA 140-pound eliminator, and Andre Dirrell (25-2, 16 KO) faces Jose Uzcategui (26-1, 22 KO) in a fight for the interim IBF super middleweight title.

They are the winning characters he wants as he takes on IBF super-featherweight champion Gervonta Davis at the Copper Box Arena in London.

Walsh is not an ordinary boxer. Not many fighters challenging for a world title drive an old and battered Volkswagen Touran and play Scrabble in the evenings to relax.

While American Davis’ has a remarkable tale to tell of escaping the crime-ridden streets of Baltimore, Walsh’s story is very different.

This is a fighter who cites sugar as the only drug he has ever taken as not even caffeine or alcohol passes his lips.

“I just don’t like the taste of beer,” said Walsh. “I can’t drink 10 pints of water so how the hell am I going to drink 10 pints of fizzy?

“The worst thing I do is when I’m not training for a fight on a Saturday after football, I go with my twin Ryan to the bar and we have half a can of coke and half a Mars bar each. That is the treat of the week.”

He is so close to his family that he and wife Sarah live next door to his twin brother Ryan and their older brother Michael on a plot of land in Cromer, Norfolk. Their house even has a connecting door with Ryan’s.

They are all raising their own families where they moved to from Rochdale when Liam was nine after their parents – John and Michelle – told them they were just going to the area for their holidays.

After a few weeks off the UFC is back with an event that promises – at least on paper – to deliver a thrilling night of fisticuffs. With previous cards lacking star-power, UFC 211 comes crashing in with two title fights and a host of high ranked fighters known to put on exciting contests.

The main event sees UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic defend his belt for the second time. His opponent is a familiar one, Junior Dos Santos – who defeated Miocic back in 2014. JDS is 3-3 in his last six contests, whereas Miocic is on a 4-fight win streak. Will Miocic find revenge in Dallas, TX or does Dos Santos still have what it takes to beat Cleveland’s finest?

The co-main features the Polish pistol Joanna Jedrzejczyk defending her UFC women’s strawweight title versus Jessica Andrade. The undefeated Joanna Champion has reigned since 2015 and will be looking for her 5th title defense versus the powerful Brazilian. Andrade is a relatively new face in the division, who has spent her career beating up much larger women. Is tonight the night Joanna finally meets her match?

The rest of the pay-per-view card is stacked with fascinating match-ups. At 170lbs submission savant Demian Maia defends his claim to the welterweight throne against the surging Jorge Masvidal. Before that, lightweight legend Frankie Edgar faces hotshot Yair Rodriguez at 145lbs, and criminally underrated Krzysztof Jotko welcomes former WSOF two-division champ David Branch to the UFC’s middleweight division.

The FX prelims card, which begins at 8 PM ET, is headlined by a PPV worthy contest between former lightweight champ Eddie Alvarez and the always-exciting Dustin Poirier. Elsewhere on the prelims, there’s a featherweight clash between Chas Skelly and Jason Knight, a heavyweight fight between Chase Sherman versus Rashad Coulter and a lightweight bout between James Vick and Marco Polo Reyes.

A 3-fight early prelim card starts the night (only on UFC Fight Pass) at 6:30PM ET. That card builds to a women’s strawweight clash between Jessica Aguilar and Cortney Casey. Fight Pass also features Joachim Christensen versus Gadzhimurad Antigulov at light heavyweight, and Gabriel Benitez against Enrique Barzola at 145lbs.

Miocic vs dos Santos Live Stream

Saturday features an absolutely packed night of mixed martial arts with UFC 211. The card includes two title fights, multiple former champions, and some of the best action the UFC can offer.

The pay-per-view main card begins at 10 p.m., with prelims taking place on UFC Fight Pass at 6 p.m. and FX at 8 p.m. Live streams of the prelims will be available, and the main card can be ordered online via UFC.TV and various UFC apps on phones, tablets, and other smart devices.

Stipe Miocic will defend his heavyweight title against Junior dos Santos, a man who beat him in 2014 when neither held the strap. Joanna Jędrzejczyk will make her fifth defense of her strawweight title in the co-main event, taking on Jéssica Andrade.

Miocic is making his second title defense after knocking out Alistair Overeem at UFC 203. Dos Santos won a unanimous decision over Miocic in a fight-of-the-night performance in December 2014, but since then he’s alternated wins and losses. His last fight was a decision win over Ben Rothwell in April 2016.

Outside of the title picture, there are some big matches on the main card. Demian Maia is riding a hot streak, including six consecutive wins with three finishes. He’ll take on Jorge Masvidal in welterweight action. Masvidal is riding high after a shocking knockout of fan favorite Donald Cerrone in January.

At featherweight, Frankie Edgar will take on Yair Rodriguez. Edgar is a former champion and beat Jeremy Stephens in his last fight. Rodriguez is 10-1 as a pro and scored a TKO of legend (but well past his prime) B.J. Penn in his last fight in January.

One of the biggest fights on the card will be free on FX, as a lightweight showdown between Eddie Alvarez and Dustin Poirier will headline the preliminary card. Alvarez is fresh off a loss to Conor McGregor for his lightweight championship, while Poirier beat Jim Miller in his last outing.

Below is the full fight card for Saturday and all the viewing information you need to catch the action.

Chávez blocks a hard Canelo hook early, but both fighters are mostly cautious in the early going, circing one another amid loud cheers for both men. Chávez’s size advantage is very apparently, but he has a history of crouching and failing to use it to his full advantage. He mustn’t do that tonight. Canelo connects with a left jab. And another. Not too much action in the first but Canelo was busier and landed more.

Fans can watch the Canelo Alvarez vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. fight live online and see what could be the best fight of 2017 — even catching some of the action for free.

The two will square off Saturday night from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, with the main card starting at 9 p.m. ET and the Alvarez vs. Chavez Jr. fight expected to start sometime between 11 p.m. and 12 a.m.

Those who watch the Canelo Alvarez vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. live online won’t see any belts change hands, with no titles on the line, but could see what many expect to be the most exciting fight in months. For Mexico, the fight is considered one of the biggest events in years. With El Tri on something of a downswing lately — the Gold Cup and Copa America are not the events they were when the Mexican team was a powerhouse — the fight has taken on an even bigger stature in Mexico.
