It’s once again time for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and watching a live stream of the historic race from France is easier than ever.

In the United States, coverage of the 85th running of Le Mans will be on Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports 2. FS1 will have it Saturday, June 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. ET. It will then move over to FS2 from 1 p.m. to 1 a.m. (Sunday, June 18) ET, and back to FS1 from 1 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. ET.

If you don’t have a cable subscription or can’t get to a TV, you can still watch all the action via over-the-top streaming services, which allow you to stream a handful of channels for a monthly fee: Sling TV is my personal recommendation due to cost, but DirecTV Now is good for watching more channels, while other services such as Fubo TV and PlayStation Vue offer different pros and cons.

Briton Mike Conway quickly established a healthy lead from the Porsche driven by last year’s winning driver Jani Neel.

The second of three Toyotas, with former F1 driver Sebastien Buemi at the wheel, was placed third at the sun-drenched Sarthe circuit.

Conway is sharing the driving with Stephane Sarrazin and Kamui Kobayashi, the Japanese driver who had electrified Le Mans fans with a record breaking lap to grab pole in qualifying.

Toyota are seeking a first ever win at the iconic four-wheeled endurance test after 18 attempts since 1985.

They came agonisingly close last year only for Kazuki Nakajima’s car to break down when in the lead in the final lap.

There won’t be a Triple Crown bid at the 149th Running of the Belmont Stakes – in fact, neither Kentucky Derby champion Always Dreaming nor Preakness Stakes winner Cloud Computing entered the third leg of the Triplce Crown – leaving the 11-horse field relatively wide open for the taking.

On June 10, the last leg of the 2017 Triple Crown season will be held. That’s when the Belmont Stakes are held at Belmont Park in Elmont, New York. It’s often considered the toughest of the Triple Crown races, since it’s also the longest. Usually, the Belmont Stakes is when the Triple Crown hopefuls fall short because the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes are the same length. However, the Belmont is 1.5 miles, or 12 furlongs, in length.

Racers will be trying to top Secretariat’s long standing record time of 2:24, set back in 1973. That’s the same year the famous horse won the Triple Crown. This year, there will be no such winner, as Always Dreaming, who won at the Kentucky Derby, lost to Cloud Computing at Preakness. Neither of the two winners will be participating at the Belmont Stakes.

Coverage of the 1.5-mile race will begin at 3 p.m. ET on NBC Sports, and then will move over to NBC at 5 p.m. ET. Post time is scheduled at 6:37 p.m. ET. It will be livestreamed on NBC Sports Live.

There is no chance for a Triple Crown this year — and the winners of Kentucky Derby (Always Dreaming) and Preakness (Cloud Computing) are both out. The only horse who will compete in all three races is Lookin At Lee.

The 2017 Triple Crown season is guaranteed to feature three different winners with Kentucky Derby champion Always Dreaming and Preakness Stakes champion Cloud Computing both skipping Saturday’s Belmont Stakes in New York.

While there’s no Triple Crown on the line in the 149th running of the Run for the Carnations, a deep, competitive field should still make for an entertaining race. It’s even more wide open following the mid-week withdraw of Classic Empire, the expected favorite.

Let’s check out all of the important details for the event. That’s followed by a look at the full field of contenders and a race preview.

Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen topped an eventful second practice at the Formula One Canadian Grand Prix on Friday.

While drivers struggled to find grip at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Raikkonen was able to put in a brilliant time of one minute, 12.935 seconds. He finished more than two tenths of a second ahead of Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton, while fellow Ferrari man Sebastian Vettel was a shade back in third spot.

In the first session it was Hamilton who topped the pile ahead of Vettel and his Mercedes team-mate Valtteri Bottas.

Below are the results in full from Friday and a closer look back an an interesting day’s driving from Canada.

As mentioned, Sky’s got the rights to this one, so you’ll need a subsrciption if you want to watch all the developments live.

Sky is also offering all the Formula 1 action in 4K Ultra HD this year, and the Canadian Grand Prix is no exception. As long as you’ve got a 4K-ready TV, 2TB Sky Q box, and the right Sky package, you’ll be able to watch in UHD.

The weekend’s events will be broadcast on Sky channel 408, where you’ll also benefit from Sky’s Race Control feature, giving you multiple driver cam viewpoints, the pitman channel, a driver tracker, and a up-to-date timing page via the Red Button.

For those looking to watch on mobile, there’s the Sky Go app, which is available on both iOS and Android. And of course, you can also access the service using a web browser.

How did the 2016 race pan out?

Lewis Hamilton was gift-wrapped the victory after a strategical gaffe by Ferrari robbed Sebastian Vettel of victory in Montreal.

Vettel controlled the opening phase of the race after leapfrogging both Hamilton and his Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg off the line, but Ferrari’s decision to pit the German twice enabled Hamilton to claim his fifth victory in Canada.

And with Rosberg, who spun on the penultimate lap attempting to pass Max Verstappen, crossing the line only fifth, Hamilton has slashed the gap in the championship from 24 to just nine points. Williams driver Valtteri Bottas finished third with a fine drive.

Outdoor Track and Field Championships Live

Source: sbnation.com-The 149th running of the Belmont Stakes will be held Saturday in New York. With no Triple Crown implications on the line and neither the Preakness Stakes nor Kentucky Derby winners present, you might be tempted to think the Belmont lacks for plots. However, a large and even field indicates you would be wrong.

They’ll draw the post positions for the $1.5 million, 1-1/2 mile Belmont Stakes somewhere after noon (ET) on Wednesday. The Belmont is actually the third race being drawn, and noon is just an approximate start from Rockefeller Center in New York, so it’s hard to give too exact of a time. Be sure to follow along with a live stream provided at NYRA.com

Classic Empire is the Belmont favorite among the 12-horse field — or 13 if Gormley runs — ahead of the official morning line announcement at 2/1, according to OddsShark. The best 2-year-old, he has struggled to live up to that acclaim in his 3-year-old season. He entered the Kentucky Derby the favorite, but a tough start led to a fourth-place finish. The Preakness, with a smaller field, played out a little closer to expectations. But after entering with strong odds of winning, he finished second.

Behind that, Lookin At Lee, who finished second in the Kentucky Derby, is set at co-5/1 odds along with Epicharis, Japanese winner of four straight before finishing second in the UAE Derby.

Maverick Vinales will look to extend his lead over the field at the 2017 MotoGP Grand Prix of Italy on Sunday, when he and the other riders face off at the Autodromo del Mugello in Tuscany.

Vinales leads the standings by 17 points after five races having won three of them, including last time out in France.

Dani Pedrosa sits in second on 68 points, while Valentino Rossi and Marc Marquez remain on 62 and 58, respectively, after they both crashed out in France.

Dovizioso, Pirro, Vinales, Zarco, Barbera, Lorenzo and Marquez did not improve on their morning lap times.

Valentino Rossi was on track for the first time since suffering chest and stomach injuries in last week’s motocross training accident.

Sylvain Guintoli is again replacing injured rookie Alex Rins at Suzuki, while Ducati test rider Michele Pirro is making his first wild-card appearance of the season.

The stiffer front tyre construction is making its 2017 debut this weekend.

Mugello has the fastest straight on the calendar, with Andrea Iannone setting an official top speed record of 220.5mph/354.9km/h for Ducati in last year’s race.

The top 10 riders on combined practice times are: Crutchlow, Dovizioso, Folger, Pirro, Vinales, Zarco, Pedrosa, Barbera, Bautista, Lorenzo.

Kimi Raikkonen took pole position for the Monaco Grand Prix as Lewis Hamilton suffered a dramatic early exit.

The Briton will start Sunday’s race from 13th on the grid after a ragged qualifying session, during which he complained frequently about his Mercedes and narrowly avoided a major accident.

Despite that he looked on course to make the top 10 shootout until Stoffel Vandoorne’s accident forced him to abandon his final flying lap.

The 2017 Formula One season continues with the Monaco Grand Prix this weekend. Here’s a complete guide to how to watch the race.

This weekend the Monaco Grand Prix will be taking place at the Monte Carlo street circuit, with Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel, and Valterri Bottas all set to compete.

The race itself has taken place since 1929 and Vettel will be looking to keep his top spot in the Driver’s Championship when it takes place again this Sunday.

Here’s all you need to know about the race:

Lewis Hamilton is set to start a lowly 13th for the Monaco Grand Prix following a disastrous display in qualifying on Saturday as Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen claimed pole position.

Hamilton has struggled for pace all weekend in Monte Carlo, but his failure to progress to the top-10 shootout will come as an almighty shock to Hamilton and his Mercedes team.

Raikkonen secured the number one spot – his first in nearly a decade – after seeing off the challenge from Hamilton’s championship rival Sebastian Vettel by just 0.043 seconds as Ferrari sealed a front-row lockout. Hamilton’s Mercedes team-mate Valtteri Bottas lines up in third.

All the eyes of the horse racing world are on Pimlico Race Course. That’s where the 2017 Preakness Stakes will be held. The fun begins on Saturday, May 20 with an expected post time of 6:45 p.m. ET. Always Dreaming, who won the Kentucky Derby, will try to continue his success as he makes a run for the Triple Crown.

Standing in his way, however, will be an impressive field. Lookin At Lee, who finished in second at Churchill Downs, will give Always Dreaming a run for his money. So will Classic Empire and Cloud Computing. In today’s horse racing world, there are horses who get to race at Pimlico despite not running at Churchill Downs. This gives the fresh horses a bit of an advantage.

The 142nd Preakness Stakes is set. The 10-horse field has made it to Baltimore, Maryland for the second leg of the Triple Crown with Kentucky Derby winner Always Dreaming looking to win his fourth straight race.

Always Dreaming is the odds-on favorite at 5/6 to win on Saturday, but faces some tough competition. Here’s how the field shakes out with the latest odds from Bovada. 1. Multiplier (18/1), 2. Cloud Computing (14/1), 3. Hence (19/1), 4. Always Dreaming (3/2), 5. Classic Empire (2/1), 6. Gunnevera (10/1), 7. Term of Art (45/1), 8. Senior Investment (25/1), 9. Lookin at Lee (8/1), 10. Conquest Mo Money (9/1).

The 2017 NASCAR Diversity Internship Program (NDIP) welcomed 26 of the brightest students from across the country seeking to learn about the motorsports industry during the Monster Energy All-Star Race weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina.

This year, 14 former NDIP interns currently working in the industry full-time will help mentor the students throughout the 10-week, paid internship. Mentors include Brandon Thompson, senior director of NASCAR touring series; Lauren Houston, manager of NASCAR Multicultural Development; Pedro Mojica, Richard Petty Motorsports engineer; and Jusan Hamilton, manager of NASCAR racing operations and event management. Hamilton made history earlier this year by becoming the first African-American to serve as a race director for a NASCAR national series event.

“For nearly 20 years, the NASCAR Diversity internship program has provided talented students with hands-on experience in the motorsports industry,” said Jim Cassidy, NASCAR senior vice president of racing operations. “The program has also helped NASCAR identify future leaders in the industry and continues to serve as an important part of our efforts to promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace.”

CONCORD, N.C. — Kyle Larson stormed to the Coors Light Pole Award on Friday night at Charlotte Motor Speedway, taming the unique qualifying format to earn the No. 1 starting spot for Saturday’s Monster Energy NASCAR All-Star Race (8 p.m. ET, FS1, MRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).

Larson hurried the Chip Ganassi Racing No. 42 Chevrolet to a speed of 143.839 mph in the three-lap format, which requires teams to make a four-tire pit stop during their run. Despite a slight slip by his rear tire changer, Larson’s team avoided the pitfalls that snagged the other four competitors who advanced to the final round of qualifying.

Kyle Busch was second-fastest in the Joe Gibbs Racing No. 18 Toyota with a speed of 143.826 mph, just one-hundredth slower than Larson’s time. Kevin Harvick, Jimmie Johnson and Kurt Busch completed the top five.

Larson led 18 laps in last year’s All-Star event, relinquishing the top spot to eventual winner Joey Logano with two laps remaining. With a prime No. 1 starting position this year, Larson said he hoped to capitalize by winning one of three opening segments to lock his name into the final 10-lap, 10-car dash.
